Chapter 1: Starting Your Left 4 Dead

Once You Get The Left 4 Dead Downloaded Onto Your PC.
The now You need to do the following two Steps.

Step 1: Installing The Latest Version Patch. Install Only one of these Patches Below.


First Start Your Game.
Go To Options > Keyboard/Mouse > Allow Developer Console > Enable It.







Now Press the "~" Button, Below The Number 1 Button and Above the Tab Button.
and Type Version in the Console's Commands Field.




You will get something like this.

You will Need the latest version to play with others.
as of now everyone is using Version 1.0.1.5




Make sure you Highlight "Left 4 Dead" Folder, then press Install Button

Correct Patch Installation. Once You Open The Patch Version .exe, Make sure you highlight the "Left 4 Dead".
Here is a Detailed Example To Installing it in the Correct Folder Directory

Install "PatchVersionName.exe to the Left 4 Dead Folder Directory,
Depending on how you have your left 4 Dead Folders, here's a Detailed Example.

----Left 4 Dead Game//Left 4 Dead//left4dead----
Or
----Left 4 Dead Folder//Left 4 Dead//left4dead----

Okay, now if you have your first main Folder as Left 4 Dead, and as you open that folder and inside that folder
is also "Left 4 Dead", then as you open that folder there will be many other folders as well as left4dead,
and the "left4dead.exe" down in the middle.

Now This is to be installed in the Main Left 4 Dead Folder, that contains the left4dead folder. and the "left4dead.exe"
Such as Left 4 Dead >//Highlight "Left 4 Dead"\\ < Within that folder. and then install.

Some people just has left 4 Dead and as they open that, all the folders appears, along with left4dead.
So just Highlight the "Left 4 Dead" Folder and Install.

Note: To Fix The bad Sounds During Game, ype In Console "snd_rebuildaudiocache"And let it load  and finish. May take up to 15 Minutes.




These Patches I Included Newest Standalones Already Installed, So It Just 1 Download.
Note: For Those who was at 1.0.1.4, All Settings will be back to Default, Keyboard Controls, Full Screen. So You have to Bind Your keys again and set your video graphic settngs again.
And For All Patches Updates Mini Update And Master Patch Full Updates, always do a Sound rebuild. Because you will get loud hissing sounds and scratches and static after patches updates. So Just Type in Console "snd_rebuildaudiocache" and Press Enter, and it will take about 20 minutes to load and rebuild all sounds.
Also The Sound Rebuild will stop at Full Load, You have to Exit the game Manually And Restart it.







Chapter 2: Playing Left 4 Dead On Garena
Now to start playing on Garena, I'ts pretty simple and just a couple of steps.


Open Garena Cleint. Choose the Left 4 Dead Tab. Then go to your country. And Choose a room with most people.
Now go to "Settings" Button. It's Above the "Send" Button in the chat room.





Set your Game Boot-Strap Paramaters as this "+sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1"
And then set the Executable Settings And Browse to the left4dead.exe and Press Open.





Now Press Start Game Button and if you see the "Friends Playing" List, click there and find a game to Join.









Chapter 3: Joining A Game On Garena


Press "Start Game" Button on the right side of the test field in the chat room.





Once you Game Starts Up, you will see the "Friends Playing" List at the bottom-left corner of the game menu.




Then here you can join the available servers.




You Can Also use the Server Browser as well





Here at the Server Browser go to the "Lan' Tab and you can join a server.









Chapter 4: Hosting A Game On Garena

You can host you own map by entering the following commands in Console. On how To host your Own Server.


1: Open console. Type in console map l4d_   and a list of map will come up. So let's go with No Mercy Map.





Example: map l4d_hospital01_apartment

But you would also want to choose a game type mode and a difficulty level.
Such as mp_gamemode coop, survival and versus

And the difficulty level for your game
z_difficulty easy, normal, hard, and impossible

"hard and impossible are as Advanced And Expert"

and then you give your server a name
hostname "YourServerName"



Then you can do these following commands in the Console. "hostname "MyServer"; mp_gamemode coop; map l4d_hospital01_apartment; z_difficulty normal"


And press the Submit Button.




Once you game is done loading and game starts Open Console and type "net_status"



and you will get this

You will see Net status for host 192.168.29.28
To get your friends to join your server that is the ip you give him, but also other players will see your game listed in the game servers list.
